For us, reading IS thinking! And so is STEM.
Our approach is to energize a young child's fabulous brain during the early stages of reading. Motivation to read is gained when we challenge children with STEM-like questions and prompts about even the simplest concept. Example: "How do you think this (an umbrella) was made or built?"
